On September 21- 22, 2017, the subsequent meeting within the framework of Erasmus+ Project, “Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position – AESOP”, was held at Khazar University. The regional partners of the project, Khazar University, Ganja State University, Nakhchivan State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University (Georgia), Caucasus University (Georgia), Georgian American University, Poltava University of Economy and Trade, members of Kiev National Economic University, as well as Middlesex University, Warsaw University of Poland, University of L’Aquila and University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, participated in the meeting.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, welcomed the guests, spoke about the students’ important role in the universities’ activities and wished success to the participants of the AESOP project.

Prof. George Gavtadze, the rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University and Robert Michael Cawgill, the rector of Georgian American University talked about the topic. During the meeting, the members of the regional partner universities spoke about experience they gained during their visit to European universities and about their plan how to apply it to their local universities. The first day of the meeting ended with discussions.

After the meeting, the guests took part in the concert organized within the framework of the IX International Music festival devoted to Uzeyir Hajibeyli at the ‘Dunya’ concert hall, with the participation of Elisso Bolkradze, a UNESCO Artist for Peace.

On the second day of the meeting, the activities to be realized within the framework of the project and financial issues were discussed.

A tour was organized to ‘Atashgah’, the fire temple, and ”Yanar dagh” at the end of the meeting.
